"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God
the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in
their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained
from the world." James 1:27

Ethiopia Widows & Orphans Project

In Ethiopia there is no system in place to take care of the elderly widows. While many of them have homes to sleep in, most of them have no money for food or medicine, many are disabled, and some are even trying to take care of young orphans who have lost their parents! This leaves them no choice but to beg on the streets all day long. One of our indigenous church partners is doing their best to show the love of Christ to these widows by providing a shelter with food, clothing, medicines, small business trainings and social activities.

However, since July 2023 our Widows Care Center has been facing a crisis. The region has been under a state of emergency due to severe conflict and instability in the Amhara Region. Furthermore, the rising cost of living has placed us in an extremely challenging situation.

To provide you with an idea of the difficulties we face, essential items have seen their prices rise by unprecedented levels: In USD, the price of 100kg of Teff (cereal grain) has increased from approximately $70-90 to $230-270. A kilo of onions, previously priced at about $0.25-0.50, now stands at $1.80-2.30. A bar of soap, once costing about $0.20, has risen to $1.25.

Despite these challenges, we've still been able to provide support to 67 individuals. Among them are 29 widows facing severe hardships, 34 orphans, and 4 dedicated volunteers.

We urgently request your support. Your generosity will directly aid in the purchase of essential food items, as well as hygiene products for these vulnerable widows. Additionally, your contributions will help provide school supplies and medicines for the orphans who rely on our center. Every contribution, whether big or small, will make a significant difference in their lives. Please consider making a donation to our Ethiopia Widows & Orphans Project. Every dollar truly has a meaningful impact!

Tanzania Orphanage Project

The Good Shepherd's House is taking care of 10 children; 6 Girls and 4 Boys; from 3 years to 17 years old.

“Please pray for our Team as it takes care of youngsters at Arusha in Tanzania.

Youngsters at the Good Shepherd’s House are nurtured to grow well spiritually (through Bible studies, worship & prayer programs), academically (schools, receiving school supplies, etc.), and physically (healthier through food, and sports).

We are currently continuing with construction work of the Good Shepherd’s House at Ngyeku village in Arumeru, district of Arusha; This house shall be able to accommodate a total of ten children and staff; by God’s grace 10 youngsters shall be developed into being self-sustained with good health, education, and useful life skills that will also be inspired to help others.

For this project to effectively serve children, we need 3 staff members to be serving in this house.

If you would like to support these young people you can pray or/and give towards their food, school fees & supplies, medical needs, construction of the House, and other costs.

Regular support to this ongoing work shall be highly appreciated. There is always opportunity to join hands and make a big difference in the lives of those who are in need.

This project started in 2018 and has been seeking support to make it more effective so as to impact lives of children in Tanzania. The average monthly budget for this project is $1,600 USD that covers:

*Education,

*Health Development,

*Emotion Development,

*Food Requirements, and

*Administration

It brings joy when we see children grow spiritually by becoming part of the church family. They are also learning to be part of a community, growing in the knowledge of God’s Word and in faith.

Join with us in this important work.
