Burkina Faso lies in West Africa’s Sahel, where more than 5.8 million people live among unreached people groups. While the Gospel has taken root in parts of the country, many communities still need a clear Gospel witness and locally led churches where believers can be discipled and grow in their faith.

That is why the local church matters so deeply. A church is more than a place to meet, it becomes a spiritual home where believers can grow, leaders can be raised up, and the hope of Christ can take root and spread throughout the surrounding community.

‘’My name is Ouattara Gue, I want to give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for what He has done in my life. Before I knew the Savior, I was animist and Muslim. For years I suffered a lot because I had pain everywhere. I went to see all kinds of healers, even going to the hospital but still no solution. But by the grace of God I met the church planters Tera Nikie and Konaté Issouf who shared the gospel with me and prayed for me. Since that day I gave myself to the Lord and I am totally healed.”

Stories like this show why local churches matter. Through the faithful witness of church planters, people can hear the Gospel, encounter the hope of Christ, and find a community where they can grow in their new faith.

We invite you to be part of this story.
